Food: the International Love Language
I'm not sure who came up with the notion that food is the “International Love Language”, but every time I host a Culinary Tour, that sentiment rings true.

Just weeks ago, a small group of food and wine lovers joined me for a week at a private villa in the heart of Sicily. Guests experienced local culture —meeting a legendary winemaker on Mt. Etna and gathering in the kitchen to make Arancini and Chef Dora's cherished family recipe for cannoli. Each night as we sat down to dinner, I listened as guests expressed their unique sensory experiences and, once again, relished in the way sharing a meal turns strangers into friends.

After the culinary tour in Sicily, I traveled to Northern Portugal to meet my next culinary adventurer , who were ready to explore one of Europe's most beautiful cities and iconic wine regions!

We walked through the town, gazing at the beautiful architecture of the azulejo-tiled buildings lining a riverside boardwalk, stepped back in time in the UNESCO-listed medieval center, and dove into the local food scene at a world-class market. I'll never forget the expressions on everyone's faces when we sampled the local charcuterie and creamy Serra da Estrela cheese-- it was a bit of an eyes half-closed and smiling, contented nods, eyes rolling to the back of your head kind of day!

Now, I'm in the land of olives and lavender, my Provence France Culinary Tour, there more magical experiences that await. I wish you were here! In the meantime, here are some recipes that might transport you:
