This summer, I'm embarking on a journey to the heart of France, a region renowned for its exquisite wines and famous dishes. Who's ready to join me on this unforgettable adventure?

My friends at AmaWaterways have graciously invited me to host a luxury river cruise, and this time, it's the captivating Flavors of Burgundy, France!

Admittedly, my goal is to visit every wine country on Earth at least once, and Burgundy is home to some of the world's most exquisite and sought-after wines. Located in northeastern France, a quick train ride from Paris or a flight to Lyon, this cruise will begin in Lyon as we sail along the Saône River to Dijon. Believe me, there is so much to see in between. This luxurious 7-night river cruise features one of AMA's newest and most exciting itineraries, especially for wine and food lovers!

Discover Flavours of Burgundy

It's been a while since I traveled through this special place, yet my memories are so vivid I can taste them! It will be fun for our small group to visit the Les Halles Market, named in honor of Paul Bocuse. This vibrant marketplace is jam-packed with unmatched-quality ingredients like smoked salmon from Maison Rolle, hundreds of cheeses, chocolate, and pastries of all kinds. It is the epitome of gastronomic excellence.

On this cruise, there is something here for everyone. One of the many highlights is visiting Clos du Vougeut, whose wines have earned the highest classification, Grand Cru. Another day, we'll stroll along the cobblestone streets in Beaune, a walled city in the heart of the Cote d'Or vineyards. And by the way, even the vineyards here are a UNESCO World Heritage Site! And if you like architecture, the abbey in Cluny, built in 910, is a masterpiece of the Romanesque style and should not be missed. These are just a few things we will do during our week together.

Oh, and the accommodations? The AmaCello is a gorgeously appointed 144-passenger river ship featuring staterooms, most with French balconies. A river cruise with AmaWaterways is a special way to explore the world.! With over two decades of experience, AMA is a leader in providing guests with innovative and unforgettable travel experiences. Plus, their dining, wine program, and service are truly unmatched

This carefully curated itinerary offers something for everyone, and I will be with you every step of the way as we cruise through Burgundy!

And, because you're a friend of mine, there are some additional perks* just for you!
