View in browser Summer may be coming to an end, but I’m going to squeeze every drop out of the season.  Joe and I have been enjoying our favorite farmers’ market on Clement Street— among our favorites are the tomatoes from Fifth Crow and Tomatero Farms and eggs from Pasture 42.  Oh, and the stone fruit this year has been so juicy and delicious!  Shout out to Jim at Feather River.  He’s quite the character.  And the warm weather has been kind to our container garden on the balcony and I’ve been picking a plethora of herbs for months. And since we love to have a ton of fresh produce on hand, we also pick up a CSA fruit box each week from Frog Hollow.  CSA, or community supported agriculture, is like being in a co-op supporting local farmers.  Each CSA works differently, but essentially, the farmers receive money from subscribers, and we get incredible selections of their weekly harvest in our CSA box.  It kind of feels like Christmas, since we may not know what we’ll receive until it’s delivered!  Joining a CSA is a great way to expand your horizons and cook with ingredients like kohlrabi, shell beans and produce you might otherwise ship over at the supermarket.  Each time I open the box, I’m inspired to create something new! Whether you visit your local farmers market, have a CSA, or are lucky enough to have space to garden (or a nice neighbor who shares their crop!), I wanted to share some produce-forward recipes that are bound to make you enjoy every last bite full of summer!
