Let's celebrate! It's 2021, and this is my 20th year hosting cooking shows on public television, and I've got some great news:

Season Four and 13 new episodes of Plates & Places is here!

I know we can't travel quite yet, so I'm delighted to bring some of my favorite culinary destinations and tons of new recipes to you! 

We packed this season with incredible experiences and travel adventures-- like wandering the Central Market of Budapest searching for the ultimate paprika or sampling the most coveted cured ham in the world in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.  Imagine joining me for a picnic on the gorgeous Greek island of Syros, gazing out at the Aegean Sea, and eating sea urchin. Or how about heading to Northern Spain, where we can perfect our paella skills on the banks of the Oja River with my Spanish friends?

But one of my favorite episodes is the last in the series.  Filmed at the place I love the most, San Francisco, this show is a chance to share what I feel makes our community so unique.  I can't wait for you to join me on a hunt for special ingredients around the Bay Area and an extraordinary yet casual cooking party with friends at home!
