New Year, New Episodes!
Drumroll please...I am SO excited to bring you 13 brand new episodes of my latest TV series, “Joanne Weir’s Plates & Places”!
That’s right-- Season three begins airing this month on public television stations and across the US! These shows are positively packed with recipes from some incredible culinary destinations! Join me for a culinary journey, without having to leave your living room!!
For me, this Series is about discovery. More than just recipes--- I’ll share the stories, people and traditions behind them! We’ll meet growers, producers, and chefs from around the world and find interesting flavors and ingredients to add a delicious twist to any meal.
We’ll taste our way from the wine country of Washington State to the Greek islands, and so many places in between! You’ll meet my chef friend, Massimo Spigaroli, in Parma, Italy, and learn to make the best tomato bread pudding on the planet. Then we’ll go tapas hopping in La Rioja in Northern Spain and bring the inspiration back tom my home kitchen and make authentic tapas like a Spicy Paprika Shrimp with Amontillado, and since I am the world’s potato chip fan, we’ll prepare a crispy version in the oven to serve with a tasty boquerones dip! Oh, and just because some of these dishes look impressive, with a few easy techniques, anyone can make them! Don’t worry— we can keep that last bit just between you and me;).
