The launch for my new TV series, Joanne Weir’s Plates & Places, is just around the corner and the first episode features a perfect dish for Valentine’s Day. I created this recipe after spending time with my dear friend, Gabriele Ferron, on his rice farm in the Veneto, Italy.

Inspired by the loving care that he put into growing and harvesting the rice, as well as the phenomenal wines in this region of Italy, I came up with a creamy risotto made with luscious Amarone wine, a bit of radicchio and parmigiano reggiano.
