Holiday Weekend Cooking Course Mediterranean Tapas

December 5-6, 2015

I just got back from the Mediterranean and look forward to sharing some new recipes, as well as favorites from my very first cookbook, “From Tapas to Meze”! In this weekend hands-on cooking class, we’ll cook our way from Spain, France and Morocco to Italy, Turkey and Greece! Mealtime around the Mediterranean is a big part of daily life and small plates (a.k.a." tapas" or "meze") are the perfect way to bring people together. If you’re ready to add some new flavors and techniques to your holiday repertoire and want a great excuse to come visit me in San Francisco, this is the class for you!

During this weekend course, we'll cook in my kitchen studio (the same one that you see on TV!) in the heart of San Francisco and enjoy our creations with some of my favorite wines. I’ll teach you how to create delicious dishes from Spain, France and Italy, such as Prawns with Pimenton and Amontillado Sherry, Catalan Black Rice and small spiced meatballs or Albondigas, Goat Cheese and Green Onion Galette, Sausage and Tellegio Crostini.

We'll continue to cook our way through the Mediterranean and create Greek Phyllo Pizza with Feta, Mint and Tomatoes, Fattoush Salad and Merguez Sliders with Spiced Cucumber Yogurt. You’ll even learn how to make your own preserved lemons to toss into a fennel salad or whip into the lightest warm hummus and, of course, we’ll create amazing desserts.

Small plates are perfect fare for parties and I'll share tips on preparing a stress-free and delicious tapas menu. Join me for this special class and have fun sharing these delicious dishes with family and friends!
