Imagine sailing down the Grand Canal in Venice heading towards Piazza San Marco, wandering the historic back-streets, grabbing a glass of prosecco and maybe a little Venetian crostini topped with tuna and capers and then taking a stroll to the Rialto Market. Venice is one of my favorite cities in the world and the Veneto region is a food and wine-lover’s dream come true. We'll stay at the Serego Alghieri, an unparalleled family-estate-turned-resort, and immerse ourselves in the beautiful Valpolicello countryside. With incredible ingredients at our fingertips, we’ll cook classic dishes and enjoy spectacular wines. Our week will include several hands-on cooking classes in the kitchen of our gorgeous estate. With a focus on the specialties of the region, we’ll make Risotto with Amarone, Shellfish Salad with Salsa Verde, Tiramisu, and delicious almond and polenta "cookies" called Sbrisolona. Join me for a breathtaking culinary cooking tour in the beautiful Veneto region of Northeastern Italy. |

Beautiful landscapes, rich traditions, Flamenco, delicious food and world-class wines- this region of Spain has it all! We’ll stay at a beautiful and a completely restored monastery in the heart of the Rioja region. Our week will include hands-on cooking classes at my friend's fantastic restaurant, where I’ll teach you some of my favorite Spanish recipes, such as Gazpacho Andaluz, a Traditional Paella, and Autumn Apple Flan. Excursions during the week will include a tour of Laguardia, a walled medieval city and the gateway to experiencing La Rioja wine region. We’ll also spend a day in the gorgeous seaside town of San Sebastián in the Basque Country, visit an extraordinary olive oil producer, tour some of the best vineyards, and even enjoy a little tapas bar-hopping! And typical to the Spanish zest for life, the last evening’s celebration is not to be believed. This is a trip of a lifetime and I promise that you’ll never forget it! |
