Wow, the time flies by when you're busy! In addition to a dozen events, projects and cooking classes, I opened my first restaurant, Copita Tequileria y Comida, in Sausalito 2 months ago. Copita, is going crazy and I'm loving being back in the restaurant kitchen!

In the hills over Sausalito, we have our own garden and are just starting to harvest cilantro and the peppers are forming on the vine. There is nothing like pulling something right from the garden, right? When the corn came in early this year, we immediately added it to the menu in a to-die-for delicious shrimp taco with poblanos and early corn. I seriously lost the power of speech (if you can believe that) for a minute it was so good!

I thought I'd share some recipes (including some of the top requests from my new TV series) to get you in the mood for summer picnics, barbecues, or simply on their own with a nice glass of wine! This is such a fun time to cook so harvest from your garden or run to the farmer's market and enjoy!

Take time to enjoy good food with your friends and family. Life moves fast and we need to stay nourished!
