Join me in San Francisco and learn to entertain like the Italians!
I love, love, love my job! My yearly jaunt to Europe for my Culinary Journeys is just a week or so away and I'll be teaching small groups of students my best cooking secrets! I am so excited about all of the seasonal ingredients, new dishes and recipes I'll bring back to share with you.
A couple weeks after I return, I will be teaching a weeklong class focusing on holiday entertaining, Italian-style. During the week together, we will cook some of my favorite recipes from five incredible food and wine regions of Italy: the Piemonte and Tuscany- where I will be teaching next month, the luscious Emilia-Romagna with its rich pastas and braised dishes, the Veneto and its yummy risotto, and finally last but not least, the island of Sardinia. Some of the fabulous dishes we'll prepare include: Shellfish Salad with Salsa Verde, Fresh Tajarin Pasta with Wild Mushrooms, Fregola with Clams and Tomatoes and an outrageous Caramelized Chocolate Almond Budino...and that's just the beginning! It will be like taking a trip to Italy right here in beautiful San Francisco!
